Well, it's official. I am now one of the most known advanced living organisms on the planet. I finally developed the one super special feature that sets me apart from nearly all other species. Beware the Ides of March, for I now have opposable thumbs.
I'm also "breathing", sorta. Amniotic fluid is inhaled and exhaled through my lungs which should, theoretically, help form the air sacs. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all that celebrate such things! I think there should be a day named after me. That would be neat!
My salivary glands just started working. My spleen is fully functional. My arms are nearly proportional but my legs are still kinda short. My muscles are refined enough that I no longer twitch.. I have fluid, smooth movements now. I'm about 3.5" long and weigh somewhere between 1 and 2 ounces. Now that I'm at the end of my 12th week, which is the end of the first 3 months, that's the end of the first trimester. One-third of the way done, and two-thirds more to go! Hurray!!!
Mommy is still doing great! No mood swings. Good energy levels. Great appetite. No morning sickness. No real cravings. She's all good. Whoo Hooo! In other news, Sarah McLachlan is pregnant while C.C. Deville had a son.
