Week 23: Day 155 - 161

Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels of the body. There was a sale, so I just got a whole bunch. I had enough left over to start putting some of them in my lungs too. I figured I might need them. While I'm at it, I decided to grow some fingernails and toe nails. I have no idea what nails are for, but I like them. Once in a while I'll suck my thumb or fingers. Hey, a fetus has to do what a fetus has to do. Speaking of which, I'm getting a little tired of my nostrils being all plugged up all the time. I think its time for them to open up and practice "breathing", even if it is all amniotic fluid stuff. It's OK though because Mommy replaces all the amniotic fluid every three hours or so. That's about 6 gallons a day! Thanks, Mommy!

Anyway, my grip is really strong right now, but for some reason when I'm born my grip strength will decrease. Kinda odd, me thinks.

I'm starting to grow the buds that will form my adult teeth. They're deeper in the gums beyond my baby teeth now. It'll take about a month, but it'll be worth it. So will making the 33 rings, 150 joints, and 1,000 ligaments that form my spine. That's a lot of stuff in one month. I can do it though! No problem!
